Toshiba developed new series of transformer-less tubes for super heterodyne.
New series were ST tubes. Heater current was 175mA.
They called new tubes and new small radio set “Home Super”.
Model ZS-1056 was first model of Matsuda Home Super.
To realize small set, tubes were lowered by stepped chassis.
Simplified cabinet was changed in a short time.
Toshiba called new model “Super No.1 Type 2”.
This first model probably corresponded to Type 1.

Logo mark placed center of front panel and loop antenna were missing.

This different model had same model number ZS-1056.
This was additional model. Toshiba called “Super No.1 Type 3”
Chassis was equal to early model. The design and dial was different from early model.

Cabinet was repainted same color.

This model was latest variation of ZS-1056.
Toshiba called “Super No.1 Type 4”.
Design was similar to Type 3 set. Size was expanded.
Speaker was changed into 6.5” model. Chassis was not changed.

 12ZDH3A was missing.

Type 2, 3 and 4 continued selles until 1949.
